Large Roller Apparatus and suitable Large Capacity Roll-In CO2   Incubators from Bellco Glass are the perfect combination for the production of cells, cell products, vaccines, and viruses.

 

Since many years, Dunn Labortechnik supplies their customers with the well-proven roller apparatus from Bellco Glass and also offers continuous technical support for this equipment.

Especially for biotechnological production, large roller apparatus with 88 bottle positions and suitable large-capacity roll-in incubators with 2,265 liters chamber, digital controllers for speed, temperature and CO2 , as well as safety thermostat are now available.


For easy operation and process monitoring, both units are equipped with a touch screen display. In addition to local acoustic and visual alarms, incubator model 7728-S0260 has analogue signal and alarm outputs for monitoring via computer or monitoring system as well as USB and Ethernet connections. In addition, an alarm notification can be sent by E-mail or text message. 


The Bellco roller apparatus has a battery back-up system to bridge short-term power failures and can accommodate up to 88 long or up to 176 short roller bottles, depending on process and system configuration. The included all-position drive ensures that even light weight roller bottles are rotated evenly in the selected running direction.

NEW!   Antibodies by Icon Medlab

Since August 2023, the excellent antibodies and antigens from Icon Medlab have been included in our product range. These monoclonal mouse antibodies are excellent for use in ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay (LFA). Ideal combinations of coating and labeling antibodies have already been tested in advance to save your time to find suitable antibody-pairs. In addition to ELISA and LFA, other applications such as Western blot are also possible. 

All antibodies are available in different packaging sizes, including certificate of analysis and safety data sheet. In addition, internal systematic controls are available separately, making these antibodies suitable for IVD test development.

The antibodies cover a wide range of themes including fertility, cardiac and tumour markers, addictive drugs, pathogens, GMOs, food safety and many more.

NEW! Filter vials from J. G. Finneran
 for fast and efficient sample clean-up

Dunn Labortechnik presents new filter vials from J. G. Finneran. The vials allow a fast and efficient clean-up of samples and contain a convenient disposable filter which can be used for small volume filtrations. The following filter materials are offered: mixed esters cellulose, PVDF, nylon, PTFE, hydrophilic PTFE, regenerated cellulose, cellulose acetate, polyether sulfone and glass fibre. There is a choice of filter thickness between 0.2 µm and 5.0 µm.

The vial size is 12 x 32 mm with a maximum sample volume of approx. 450 µl. Also available are vials with hold-up volume where a small amount of the sample remains unfiltered for working with suspensions rather than solutions.
The closure is a 11 mm diameter yellow snap cap lined with a slit red PTFE/white silicone septum. 

We also offer a wide range of filtration plates from Porvair Sciences. These plates are a good choice if you have a lot of samples or would like to automate filtration with a manifold.

NEW! SOLO™ Liquid Handler from Hudson Robotics

Since October 2022, all products from the American company Hudson Robotics are available in Europe (except UK/Ireland) through Dunn Labortechnik. Part of the product portfolio is the versatile and modular liquid handler SOLO™. The device is ideal for serial dilutions, ELISA Assays, Next Generation Sequencing, Gene Assembly, DNA Extraction and Normalization, Kinase Assays and Hit Picking. 

The SOLO™ can be equipped with one, eight or twelve channels and is available with four to twelve deck positions. Even during a protocol the pipette head is exchangeable. The single channel system allows to aspirate/dispense 1 µl to 10 ml and the multi-channel systems 1 µl to 1000 µl. The device dispenses contact-free over the well, by tip touch-off or it can mix samples.
 
The SOLO™ is compatible with 8-, 24-, 96-, 384- and 1536-well plates in SLAS/ANSI format and accommodates tubes and vials in nearly any format. The system can be integrated with a wide range of accessories and instruments from Hudson Robotics such as heating and cooling devices, shakers, incubators and automated centrifuges and, last not least, the Magnetic Bead Station to allow automatic separation of magnetic beads.

With its compact footprint, the SOLO™ can be placed into most laboratory hoods, biological safety cabinets or anaerobic chambers, which, incidentally, are also available from Dunn Labortechnik. The rail holding the pipette head can be extended to the left or the right to enable interaction with other instruments from Hudson Robotics such as the Filterpress™ for separation of substances, the Micro10x™ robotic reagent dispenser or the RapidWash™ microplate washer. In addition, the SOLO™ can be used in a complete automated workflow. The integration of the system is possible through Hudson Robotics´ innovative lab automation software SoftLinx™.

         MicroElectrode Array Stretching Stimulating und Recording Equipment (MEASSuRE) 

In vitro research has many advantages over in vivo research (cheaper, faster, tighter control of chemical and physical environment, etc.). However, isolated and cultivated primary cells differ from the corresponding cell type in an organism, limiting the value of in vitro data to predict in vivo behaviour. A major reason for this divergence is that in vitro experiments do not replicate the mechanical and electrical environment of cells in an organism. MEASSuRE addresses this weakness by reproducing the mechanical (radial, uniaxial) and electrical environment of cells in vivo in a controlled environment in vitro.
With MEASSuRE systems researchers do not need to choose between electrical and mechanical biophysical cues for in vitro research. The cell and tissue cultures are grown on silicone substrates with embedded microelectrodes. 

MEASSuRE will serve as a platform to enable fundamentally improved methods to investigate physiological and pathological stretch of cells in a controlled in vitro environment. In addition, MEASSuRE allows optical imaging (optional) of the cells throughout the stretching process for verification of the tissue strain and to detect morphological changes in the tissue.

Dunn Labortechnik presents the CellMaker "Airlift" bioreactor systems from Cellexus International Ltd. for the cultivation of bacterial and yeast cells, efficient amplification and production of bacteriophages. 
The CellMaker bioreactor systems offer different temperature-controlled reactor enclosures for a wide range of applications with suitable sterile bioreactor bags for 4, 8 and 50 liters culture volume, and optional accessories for process monitoring and control. Depending on the system configuration, the reactors allow the monitoring of relevant process parameters such as temperature, pressure and dissolved oxygen, pH value and control of other gas flows to create cultivation conditions for working volumes ranging from 1.5 to 50 liters. Furthermore, the “CellMaker Dual Controller” allows the operation of two CellMaker reactor systems in parallel, to run identical or different processes at the same time, offering a flexible adaptation of the culture volume and easy scaling of the bioprocess.
The disposable bioreactor bags of the CellMaker culture system are made of multi-layered, high-quality polymer materials. They are gas-tight and already equipped with all necessary connections including a sparger, enabling controlled air and gas distribution for gentle mixing of the culture medium and supply of the cultivated cells with nutrients.
The specific design of the single-use bioreactor bags allows rapid installation and removal from the reactor enclosure without additional cleaning and sterilization efforts.
All available CellMaker controllers are equipped with a touch screen monitor and run by a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant control and monitoring software.
In addition to the cultivation of microorganisms or amplification of bacteriophages for the production of biomass, proteins or metabolites, the Cell Maker system has also been tested with mammalian cell cultures.
