The GlucCell® glucose meter from Esco Bioengineering and its suitable test strips have been part of the Dunn Labortechnik programme for many years. The proven, portable system offers unique opportunities to users in research and process development to follow the course of the glucose concentrations in cell cultures with high precision and at comparatively low costs almost in real time.
In contrast to diabetes glucose measuring devices, the GlucCell® glucose meter has been optimized for measurements in serum-free and serum-containing media in the field of animal and insect cell cultures. The GlucCell® glucose meter is therefore ideal for process monitoring and optimization in the area of cell culture applications.
The GlucCell® glucose measuring system is easy to use, is versatile and portable and offers a high degree of accuracy and precision of the measured values (90 and 95 %). As only 1.5 µl sample volume is required for each individual measurement and results are displayed after only 15 seconds, even small volume cultures can be continuously monitored, and intermediate measurements can easily be made.
